I read with great interest the book "Last Rites" by Charles Patterson sent to me for review.
First of all I must submit that I am not regular reader of novels. But as I started hesitantly and tried to scan as fast as possible, I started liking the novel. As I turned its pages, the reading become a compulsion.
Needless to say, the novel is very well written in lucid and simple language. The message is very clear for the people who wants to live in freedom. Through biography of Reverend Thomas Aaron Reed III, the author has been able to disclose the truth of bondage, atrocities, falsehood of churches and has been able to show the rational, innovative, human and scientific outlook to the life.
I wanted to finish this novel in one go but due to my limitations I was able to read it only in parts. However I can say that the story appeared so real that I didn't forget what I read last time and I was able to complete the novel line by line. It is worth reading for everybody who wants to see the world and live. Highly recommended.
