“Clinical Anesthesiology” is a concise book yet is complete is all aspects and contains all the information that may be required by an anesthesiologist including the latest developments and updates reflecting the advances in practice. The book is divided into 5 sections, each dealing in a specific aspect of anaesthesiology. The hallmarks of the book are the PROFILES IN ANESTHETIC PRACTICE. These are brief essays written by eminent anaesthesiologists from around the world who present their opinions and counter-points on key topics. It involves the reader to think along with the author and reflects the changing trends being practised these days. These also throw light on some of the controversies and problems. A line portrait of the author with each profile adds freshness to the concept and helps the reader to identify with the author. The book contains a separate index for such profiles in the beginning and otherwise too these can be easily identified through icons and colors.
The language used in the book is simple and easy to understand. The important topics and terms have been highlighted with colour throughout the book and help you with having a grasp over the important concepts as well as in preparation for the examinations.
Each chapter begins with a box containing the KEY CONCEPTS that form the core of that chapter. A corresponding numbered icon in the text identifies that section within the chapter and helps the reader focus on the most important themes of the chapter.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is based on latest guidelines and has been given in detail. Along with it, Postanesthesia and Critical care have also been dealt in detail in the Section on Special Problems.
The current edition of the book also has valuable contributions from various other specialities and fields. Their expertise has added to the authoritativeness of the book. The book deals with each of the sub-specialities on anesthesia comprehensively. It is a special art that the authors and publisher have been gifted with to be able to condense so much knowledge into so little unlike other cumbersome texts.
