Professor Tsuneo Suzuki Professor Tsuzuki was born in 1933, and graduated from Tohoku University School of Medicine in 1958. In 1959, he joined the same University as an Assistant in the Department of Forensic Medicine. He became Assistant Professor of Forensic Medicine in 1972. In 1975, he moved to the Department of Forensic Medicine, Yamagata University School of Medicine as a Professor, from where he retired in 1999. Currently he is Professor Emeritus in the Yamagata University School of Medicine. Professor Tsuzuki has been very active in the field of forensic medicine, having more than 150 research publications in various International Journals.

John H. Trestrail, III, RPh, FAACT, DABAT (Toxicologist)
Mr. Trestrail graduated with honors, obtaining a B.S. degree in Pharmacy, from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan, in
1967, where he was initiated into Rho Chi (Pharmaceutical Honors Society). From 1967-1968, he attended graduate school,
majoring in natural product chemistry, at the College of Pharmacy, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Trestrail's
public service experience was with the United States Peace Corps, from 1968-1970, where he taught chemistry at the University
of the Philippines College of Agriculture, in the Republic of the Philippines. He is a practicing boarded toxicologist, and is a
visiting instructor at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Since 1976, he has served as the Managing Director of one of
the nation's certified regional poison centers.
He has been honored as a Fellow by the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, and is a Diplomate, by examination, of the American Board of Applied Toxicology. Mr Trestrail founded the Center for the Study of Criminal Poisoning, as well as the Toxicological History Society, and has been featured in several episodes of "The New Detectives", on the Discovery Channel. He is a participant in the International Program on Clinical Safety, of the World Health Organization (WHO) . Mr. Trestrail has also
served as an expert consultant in many criminal poisoning investigations, to law enforcement and attorneys. Since 1990, Mr. Trestrail's seminars on "Murder by Poison!" and "Poisoners Throughout History", have been received with wide acclaim by audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is the author of the pioneering book - Criminal Poisoning: An Investigational Guide for Law Enforcement, Toxicologists, Forensic Scientists, and Attorneys, published by Humana Press. Mr Trestrail is a member of the several professional organizations some of which are The American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT), The American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC), The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT), The International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA), The International Society on Toxinology (IST), The North American Mycological Association (NAMA), The Society of Forensic Toxicologists (SOFT) and The Toxicological History Society (THiS)

Bryan Chrz Dr. Bryan Chrz has a private dental practice in his home town of Perry,
Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry
in 1978. Along with his wife Billie, they raise four children, six dogs
and two cats. Dr. Chrz is a member of the staff of Perry Memorial
Hospital, Dental Consultant to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of
the State of Oklahoma, Independent Medical Examiner for the Workers'
Compensation Court of the State of Oklahoma, and consults for Kenyon
International Emergency Services.

O.P. Jasuja Dr. Jasuja is Working as a professor in Post Graduate Department of Forensic Science at Punjabi University Patiala, India and is engaged in teaching Forensic Anthropology, Questioned Document Examination and Fingerprints. He got his doctorate in 1987 on 'Estimation of Stature from Foot impressions'. He is very actively involved in research in forensic science and has published more than 36 research papers in various national and International referred journals on various aspects of forensic science such as Footprints, fingerprints and documents examination. He has supervised a large number of Postgraduate students for their Dissertation and one student for Ph.D degree. He has attended a number of national and international conferences including one in Japan and USA. He has number of awards to his credit for his research presentations. One of his papers (with his student) on Photocopy Toners analysis was awarded young scientist's award at Tokyo meeting of International Association of Forensic Science. He is also a member of a number of national and international professional bodies. He chaired the Department of Forensic Science, Punjabi University, Patiala from August 2001 to August 2004. Recently he has been nominated by the Ministry of Home, Government of India, as a member of the Forensic Science Advisory Committee of the Directorate of Forensic Science, New Delhi. Among Dr. Jasuja's other interests is Science communication. All India Radio stations of the region have broadcasted a number of his talks and interviews on various topics in science. Zeno Geradts
Zeno Geradts works since 1991 at the Netherlands Forensic Institute. After a study of Physics, he worked for the research department for the development of digital photo copying machines. In 1991 he started at the toolmarks department of the Netherlands Forensic Institute. Here he handled over 300 cases in four years, and did research projects on digital storage of images of shoeprints and toolmarks. In 1995 he switched to the
firearms-department, and worked on digital image systems for cartridge cases. In 1998 he moved to the computer crime department, and worked on forensic video processing. In 2000 he became research co-ordinator of digital evidence projects, and since 1998 he is working on a PhD-thesis on pattern recognition in digital image databases.

Ndubuisi Eke, FRCSEd, FRCS (Eng), FWACS, FICS
Dr. Eke works as the Head, Department of Surgery in the University of Port Harcourt, and holds the rank of Senior Lecturer. He is especially interested in Forensic aspects of surgery and has many publications related to forensic medicine to his credit.

Jason Payne-James, LLM MB BS FRCS (Edin & Eng) DipFMSA Rnutr FLLA
Jason Payne-James qualified in medicine in 1980 having studied at the London
Hospital Medical College. He trained in surgery and gastroenterology and then
developed an interest in clinical aspects of forensic medicine. His clinical,
academic and research interests are in clinical forensic medicine (as a
Forensic Medical Examiner in London UK) - , clinical nutrition and
gastroenterology.
He has contributed to and written or edited several books (Forensic Medicine:
Clinical & Pathological Aspects, Colour Guide: Forensic Medicine, Symptoms
and Signs of Substance Misuse, Artificial Nutrition Support in Clinical
Practice, Symptoms and Early Warning Signs, Medicolegal Essentials of
Healthcare, Key Facts in Clinical Nutrition) and published widely in peer-reviewed medical
journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Forensic Medicine. He
is Co-Editor of Current Medical Literature - Clinical Nutrition. He regularly
appears in court as an expert witness. He is Principal Forensic Physician to
the City of London Police. He is external Consultant to the National Crime
Faculty. He is a Director of Forensic Healthcare Services Ltd. |
